| Charles Covill
was born in March 1920 in Otero County New Mexico. After serving
in the Army Air Force during the war he received his Civil Engineer
Degree from Tri-State College in Angola Indiana. When he moved to Texas
he was employed by the Texas Highway Department. Since his
retirement from the state, he has spent many years designing and
cutting faceted stones. He still resides in Austin Texas. He has two children, Bruce and Diann. He is
a life time member of the Austin Gem and Mineral Society, and is also a
Patron of the South Federation of Mineral Societies Inc Endowment Fund.
He started faceting in 1981, and is a member of the Texas
Faceters Guild as well as many other guilds around the country.
His designs have been placed in Vargas' book, in many club
newsletters and several years back in his own loose leaf form. |
